At Sharman Taekwon-Do, we strive to provide you with professional Taekwon-Do training, a fun and engaging atmopshere, and a place to develop yourself at your own pace.
We provide training for all abilities, ensuring everyone gets the time they need to improve and reach their own personal goals. If you're looking for fitness, confidence, skill training, self defence, competition opportunties, freindship and community, then we are the club for you. Our perfectly balanced training means both those new to Taekwon-Do and advanced have the best chance to perfect their own martial arts journey.
Physical training is a fundamental part of Sharman Taekwon-Do, but equally important is our focus on mental health support and communnity. We ensure everyone benifits and gain's freindship from socialising and external club activities. Come and join our family!

Sharman Taekwon-Do Instructor & Coach
Chief Instructor - Mr Ross Sharman V Dan
Mr Sharman has been practicing Taekwon-Do for 25 Years. He originally began his training in Cardiff, Wales under Legendary Instructor and Master, Tony Vella VIII Dan. Mr Sharman moved to Manchester in 2010 for University, he then set up the Manchester Metropolitan University Taekwon-Do Club and became it's Instructor. After teaching at the University for 14 years, Mr Sharman opened Sharman Taekwon-Do in January 2024. Mr Sharman has a strong Taekwon-Do community around him, having hosted many major events including Master Seminars and 2 World Championships and is passionate in ensuring Taekwon-Do is accessible for everyone.
Mr Sharman has a distinctive teaching process that allows casual members to train at their own pace, whilst ensuring those who want to become champions are given time to flourish. Taekwon-Do should be for all and having a dynamic that allows everyone to achieve their individual goals is what makes our sessions unique.
After 11 years as a 4th Dan, In 2023 Mr Sharman sucessfully passed his 5th Dan grading under Master Vella VIII Dan.

Additionally Mr Sharman is an International Instructor (2 x IIC Completed), Grading Examiner (2 x IIC Completed), Class A Umpire and Head Coach of the UK Student National Squad. Mr Sharman is also founder of the British University Taekwon-Do League BUTL
